Purchased in 1992, Tri-County Animal Clinic carries on the torch first lit by the West Salem Veterinary Clinic. Since 1999, we’ve been located at 150 East Buckeye Street in West Salem. Our professional veterinarians are experienced in treating animals of many kinds, from extensive dairy herds to companion cats and dogs and numerous creatures in between. You can bring your pet to our centrally located clinic, or we can make a call to service the needs of your farm animals.
Meet Our Experienced Veterinarians at Tri-County Animal Clinic, the Best Animal Care Clinic in West Salem, Ohio
Our veterinarians are all experienced in treating animals of many kinds. We’re committed to continuing education on the local, state, and national levels. We are members of local veterinarian associations and host an annual conference for bovine education, helping the Tri-County’s dairy farmers maintain healthy and productive herds.
Dr. Carlton Schlatter is our senior partner. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schlatter practiced at two other animal clinics before taking over the West Salem Veterinary Clinic, incorporating it as Tri-County Animal Clinic, Inc. in 1994. An avid bird watcher, Dr. Schlatter and his wife Candi have two daughters and enjoy spending family time together in the beauty of nature.
Dr. Cody Stoller, also a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, joined Tri-County Animal Clinic in 1995 and became a co-owner with Dr. Schlatter in 2002. Since then, Dr. Stoller has helped Tri County become the premier animal clinic in the Tri-County area. Both he and Dr. Schlatter work primarily with dairy cows. Dr. Stoller and his wife Kara have four children. He enjoys spending time outdoors, raising calves, gardening, and fishing.
Dr. Sarah Finney is a May 2018 graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. She also received a Master of Science degree in Comparative and Veterinary Medicine in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Animal Sciences in 2014. She completed the Dairy Certificate Program during veterinary school and spent a year as the intern at The Ohio State University Large Animal Services in Marysville. Dr. Sarah is a Wayne County native who grew up in Marshallville, graduated from Smithville High School and spent over 10 years in 4-H showing sheep and participating in numerous still projects. In her spare time, Dr. Sarah enjoys crocheting, sewing, reading and hiking.
